Derrick kickstarted his legal career as a trainee associate at Ariff Rozhan & Co., where he was exposed to complex litigation and arbitration disputes. Often, the cases that he worked on involved high-profile clients from different sectors including banking, construction, oil & gas, power plant and more. He then moved on to Singapore joining a boutique litigation firm to head the personal injury division.
With a burning desire to start out on his own, Derrick made his return to Malaysia to further pursue his legal career. Finally, Derrick founded THE CHAMBERS OF LOH in September 2020, marking a brand new chapter in his legal career. Under his leadership, THE CHAMBERS OF LOH has served over 200 clients in less than 2 years since its inception.

Prior to embarking on her journey as a legal practitioner, Michelle worked as a legal counsel for Hi-P International Limited, a listed company in Singapore. Michelle’s role as the legal counsel for the company included legal drafting and reviewing contracts. During her tenure with Hi-P International Limited, Michelle had negotiated agreements for local & international transactions (manufacturing, sales, development, software, distribution, servicing, and procurement agreements), apart from managing compliance matters for the company on a daily basis.
Upon returning to Malaysia to further pursue her legal career, Michelle joined YP Cheong & Co. as a legal associate, whereby she was responsible in handling all legal works under the Intellectual Property Division.
Michelle currently heads the Corporate, Commercial and Conveyancing portfolio. She is also exceptionally well-versed in Strata Management matters, Wills and Succession.

Emily read law and completed her Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at Cardiff University with an overall very competent classification. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Middle Temple. Emily was then called to the Malaysian Bar in February 2022, and practised under Messrs HL Lee & Co. She joined THE CHAMBERS OF LOH in May 2024.
Emily primarily practices family law as well as general litigation, particularly in JMB disputes, tenancy disputes, contractual and medico-legal disputes.
